Stanford Guided Transfer Guided Transfer Study to Transition Patients with Chronic Endocrinology Conditions from Pediatric to Adult Endocrinology Clinic

The Guided Transfer study investigates the effects of a guided transfer model to transition patients with chronic endocrinology conditions from pediatric to adult endocrinology clinic. Participants are eligible if they meet the following criteria: 

  • T1D or Chronic Endo condition for > 1 yr & ready to transition to Stanford Adult Endocrinology Care
  • English-speaking
  • Followed in Stanford-affiliated pediatric endo clinics (Dr. Rayhan Lal’s patients excluded)
  •  ≥ 16 years

PEDAP-AI The Pediatric Artificial Pancreas Automated Initialization Trial (PEDAP-AI)

The PEDAP-AI study will explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help doctors choose insulin pump settings in a system that uses automated insulin delivery. The study is sponsored by the NIH. All children who take part will get to use the study insulin pump, pump supplies and other study devices while in the study. The study lasts about 8 weeks. 

Participants may be eligible if they meet the following criteria: 

  • Diagnosis of type 1 diabetes for at least 3 months
  • Age ≥2 and <6 years old
  • Participant's cannot be already using an insulin pump
  • Using a Dexcom CGM at the time of enrollment, with use of at least 21 out of the prior 28 days
  • Total daily insulin dose (TDD) at least 5 Units/day
  • Body weight at least 20 pounds (lbs)
  • Parent/guardian proficient in reading and writing English
  • Live in California, Colorado or Virginia, with no plans to move outside these states during the study period

Stanford T1D Registry A Clinical Research Registry for the Stanford Diabetes Research Center

The purpose of this screening questionnaire is to create a clinical research registry from which investigators within the Stanford Diabetes Research Center can recruit participants. In order to find out whether you are eligible for particular studies, you will be asked to complete a pre-screening questionnaire. There are two steps involved in this pre-screening process: 1) consent to be screened via the questionnaire, and 2) if you agree to the consent, complete the online screening questionnaire to determine whether you are eligible to attend an in-person screening visit with one or more groups part of the Stanford Diabetes Research Center in the near or distant future. Your information will be kept as confidential as possible as required by law. This survey is encrypted for additional security.

TITR Study Time in Tighter Range – Possible Psychological Impacts in Adults with Type 1 Diabetes

The Time in Tighter Range – Possible Psychological Impacts in Adults with Type 1 Diabetes study at Stanford investigates participant experiences with the metric of “time in range,” or “time in glucose target range,” to improve practices and help other patients using a continuous glucose monitor follow recommended clinical guidelines. Patient perspectives on diabetes clinical care recommendations need to be studied and understood.

What does the study involve?

  • Discussing the study with the study team and completing the consent if you would like to participate (30 minutes and can be done in person or via Zoom)
  • Complete 1 focus group or interview
  • The focus group or interview will take approximately 60 minutes via Zoom
  • You will receive $50 for participating

  • Wearing a continuous glucose monitor?
